Joyce Coletti
Kristin Reiber Harris is an artist, animator and educator. Over her fifty year career as a fine artist, she has created primarily woodcuts and large drawings all celebrating the natural world and exhibited nationally. She is currently making collages of recycled artwork generated from downsizing to move from Virginia to Brooklyn in 2018. Kristin is also creating collaborative art projects/coloring books featuring the flora of NYC. Her animation has been broadcast on HBO. Independent films include CityBIRDS and her current project CityTREES as well as the Anim8Nature series of educational films. Her work has been included in film festivals all over the country.
Kristin is an active member of NYWomen in Film & Television and Women in Film in Video. She served as Vice President of Membership for WIFV and was a broad member for 4 years. She is currently a member of the NYWIFT Communication Committee and regular contributor to their blog. She received a BA in Fine Art from UCLA and an MFA in Printmaking from George Washington University. Kristin taught fine art and graphic design at Lynchburg College, Art Institute of Washington and Northern Virginia Community College as well as many workshops at elementary and high schools. Her most recent workshops help students use iPads to animate their experiences in nature. |
